On the checkout page, the “Billing details” section requires customers to enter their phone numbers.
But when they check the “Ship to a different address?” on the opening page below, there is no section for the customer to enter their phone number, which creates chaos! Because, despite the importance of customers entering their phone numbers in the billing section, they must enter it in the shipping section when choosing “Ship to a different address?” as all shipping companies require the customer’s phone number for shipment. And often, when a customer chooses “Ship to a different address?”, there is no section for them to enter their shipping phone number, and 99% of the time, the shipping-related phone number is different from the billing-related phone number since the receiver is different from the one paying for it.
We end up contacting the customer every time to ask for their phone number for shipping. This is a CHAOS! Can you fix this by creating a section for them to enter their phone number when they check the “Ship to a different address?”
