Hi WooCommerce team,

I would like to request a native option that allows customers to submit a product review by giving only a star rating, without being required to write review text.

At the moment, customers are expected to enter written feedback together with the rating. For many stores, this adds unnecessary friction and can reduce the number of reviews submitted, especially on mobile devices.

Please consider adding a setting such as:
– Allow rating-only reviews
– Make review text optional

This would let store owners choose whether:
– rating is required and review text is optional
– both rating and review text are required
– review behavior can be adjusted based on store needs

Why this feature would be valuable:
– reduces friction in the review flow
– may increase review submission rates
– improves the mobile user experience
– gives merchants more flexibility
– removes the need for custom code for a common use case

This should work natively with existing WooCommerce review settings, including verified owner restrictions, moderation, and star rating behavior.
