We’d like to offer our customers the option to upgrade products within a bundle to other/more expensive products. Meaning if the customer selects an upgraded product, it replaces the standard product as opposed to being added as an additional product.
I strongly believe that all users of the Product Bundles plugin could greatly benefit from this feature.

Yes! I came here to ask for the same thing. We have bundles that require certain items to build a kit, along with additional products to enhance the kit. We have upgraded products that the customer can order to replace products that are required in the bundle.
Let’s use a bike for example: A bundle could include an aluminum frame, components, wheels, tires, and a saddle. Optional accessories could be a toolkit, additional tubes, and a water bottle cage. What if that frame could be upgraded to carbon fiber or the wheels could be upgraded to a lighter version? You wouldn’t buy a kit with 2 frames. Instead, for XX amount more, you can upgrade to carbon.
