WooCommerce Shipping

This was introduced in WooCommerce Shipping version 2.2.4, released back on March 10, 2026. However, the auto-update feature has greatly impeded my work flow. The time to automatically update the prices can take up to 5 seconds for each refresh – with some orders triggering multiple refreshes. It would be nice if this feature had a toggle button in the settings to turn it off – I would 100% turn it off for my site. If it has to stay on for some reason, it would be nice if the hot field would wait until you tab out of the field before it auto-updates. I also find that I have to type the weight really fast, or in small segments (triggering multiple price refreshes) to get the whole xx.xx weight put in – as a slight delay in typing triggers an auto-refresh. Ebay has a similar function for their shipping, but you can enter all specifics and then when you tab out of the weight field it does a single shipping price update. This would be OK too. But for me, the toggle switch to turn the feature off would be preferred. If you have to CYA, then add a check box next to the toggle informing the user that disabling this feature requires a manual update to shipping options to see the current or correct pricing to ensure they are purchasing the correct postage label. Make them check it too before they can toggle the feature off.
