Brands at the variation level

It would be good for the new built-in brands functionality to be available at the individual variation level instead of only at the parent level.

A T-shirt example demonstrates a common scenario well. Let’s say a site is selling T-shirts with a particular design. A variation is set up where the buyer can choose various qualities of shirts at different prices. So maybe a very cheap generic shirt is one variation, a better quality shirt is available from some manufacturer, and a premium shirt from a particularly known manufacturer is another variation. In that case, the brand would be different for each variation.
