Overview
Currently, our product page displays a subtotal even when no add-ons are selected by the customer. This occurs when the “required” option for add-ons is not ticked. We need a feature that hides the subtotal when no add-ons are selected, ensuring it only appears when relevant.
Current Behavior
When an add-on is set as “required”, the subtotal displays correctly only when an add-on is selected.
When the “required” option for add-ons is not enabled, the subtotal is always visible, regardless of whether an add-on is selected or not.
Desired Behavior
The subtotal should be hidden by default on the product page.
The subtotal should only become visible when a customer selects an add-on.
This behavior should be consistent regardless of whether the add-on is marked as “required” or not.
Use Case
This feature is particularly important for ensuring clarity and accuracy in pricing for our customers. It prevents confusion that may arise when a subtotal is displayed without any add-ons being selected.

As of the most recent version release of Product Add-Ons (v6.7.0) the team has introduced an improvement to the plugin that addresses the behavior you see above:
– Reveal add-on subtotals only when an add-on has been selected in products with only optional add-ons.
