Hello,
This looks like a good start for custom orders, but there are sellers that need more than this. Many of us take custom orders and need to produce a mockup image or preliminary image for the customer’s approval. For example, if a customer orders a mug from me with a name in a particular color, I need to be able to show them an image of what it’s going to look like when finished and get their approval. If you could add this feature to this plugin, that would be awesome!

When the order is place the initial status is always the standard WooCommerce status assign to an order. You can create automation rule to automatically switch order status based on various conditions. Please see the documentation for more details.

How can I ensure an order of a particular type ie user role, etc. gets automatically into the store with a custom status?
Hi,
You can create a custom status like Customer Review but we regarding the file upload feature, it would make more sense if this feature can be included by Product Customizer extension you are using. The customizer extension allow merchants to share final design to customers before printing. The customers can approve/disapprove final layout and recommend changes if needed.
We are not rejecting this request instead we would like to keep it open to gather more insights here.
