In the new checkout experience, if a customer buys a ‘Simple Subscription’ product, their card details are being saved automatically, no matter what, and when they return to the checkout, their details are already there on display. BUT in our Woocommerce settings we have deselected the option which says, “Enable payments via saved cards”.
If we have asked for card data not to be saved, and we have promised our customers that card details are not saved, then it shouldn’t be saved under any circumstance.
The problem for us is that on our website, where customer accounts are often shared by a number of users, this is a major security concern.
Please note that I have been recommended to add this feature request by your ‘happiness engineers’, as they can see no other way to fix this serious issue.
