Square for WooCommerce

During sync from Square to Woo, tax status is not currently imported. The tax status defaults to all products being taxable. This creates difficulties for stores that have both taxable and non-taxable items in their catalog as the tax status of each non-taxable product must be manually updated after sync.

It is proposed that the taxable status of items be synced correctly from Square to WooCommerce in a future update.
