Invoice remaining balance per order, not per item.
The option to “Invoice the remaining balance” is currently per item. But instead of having to send multiple invoices on several outstanding balances, we should have the ability to send one invoice with the total amount outstanding for all items in the order.

Is there any intention of doing this? This is what I’m looking for. Has anyone coded a workaround in the meantime?
This would give the ability for customers to make a partial payment for a whole cart of purchased items, and then pay off the balance later. It is a much needed feature!
