This plugin is not working fine with pagebuilder like bricks, elementor or divi. Tested and confirmed by official pagebuilder support of elementor, divi and bricks.
The official addon https://wordpress.org/plugins/product-recommendations-custom-locations is also not working, because you need to manage individual shortcode for each alternate collection/engine.
If you have 100 alternate collections, you need to add 100 shortcodes to your custom product detailpage template.
No other plugin working so much outdated and bad.
Why not adding universal shortcode that that will always show the alternate products of the current open product?
And the shortcode shoud have options to select a engine per id (optional).
But right now the engine id is shortcode is requiered and if you have 100 engines for 100 individual brands/products, you need to add 100 individual shortcodes to your template.
I never have seen so much limited plugin and such highprice solution. Please improve the plugin to have minimal what free plugins for that case can handle already since years. This plugin is a big step back for us.
I hope it will be improved soon. We manage +14 licenses and all customers are very unhappy and will give 1 star review. I have no idea why they stuck in this pagebuilder basics. Elementor for example have +12. mio. active users and we still talking here about shortcode basics…

Hey there,
Thank you for getting in touch!
You are right that in order to display recommendations in custom locations, such as Elementor or other page builder templates, it is necessary to use the free “Product Recommendations – Custom Locations”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/product-recommendations-custom-locations mini-extension.
Once you install the mini-extension, a new ‘Custom Locations’ tab will show up under WooCommerce > Recommendations: https://ps.w.org/product-recommendations-custom-locations/assets/screenshot-1.png?rev=2462838
There, you can create one custom location and add/deploy all the engines that you would like to produce recommendations for on that custom location. To render this custom location, you can copy the shortcode that is generated for that location: https://d.pr/i/0YalOd and paste it in you custom template.
Note that it is not necessary to create a single shortcode per engine, but rather a single shortcode per location. So, in your example with the 100 engines, if you deploy all these engines in a single location, then you will need only 1 shortcode.
I noticed that you have an active conversation with our support team about this, so feel free to post any additional questions about this configuration there.
