I would like to request a privacy-focused improvement for the WooCommerce product reviews system.

Currently, reviewer names are publicly displayed by default on product reviews. While this helps with trust and transparency, some store owners and customers may prefer additional privacy options, especially in regions with stricter privacy expectations and GDPR-related concerns.

Suggested improvements:

Add a built-in setting that allows shop owners to control how reviewer names are displayed, for example:

John Doe

John D.

J. Doe

J****

Anonymous

Add a “Display reviewer name publicly” checkbox during review submission

Allow store admins to choose a default display format for all reviews:

Full name

First name only

Initials

Partially anonymized

Anonymous

In the product review management section in the WooCommerce back office, add an option to mark a review author as “Anonymous” for cases where customers request personal information removal without deleting the review itself

This would help store owners offer a more privacy-friendly review experience while still maintaining customer trust and review authenticity.
