Composite Products

Just as an example. If I pull a variable product through as a product in the composite builder, I can now choose selections but A: the main image doesn’t change. for instance, if the variable product is colours, with the “skate board middle” in 2 colours, i could add blue but the main image would remain red. Also if i choose Default option as the variable product, it doesn’t extend to anything beyond that base variable, i can’t choose which one of the variable options is the default.

Essentially im having to list all the products that i want to use with the composite builder as Standard products… which defeats the point of having neat variable products on the website. just two examples but a little extra investigation into how composite works with variable product listings.
