Hello WooCommerce team,

I would like to suggest adding a new system status for products — something like “Archived”.

Currently, WooCommerce provides several product statuses such as Published, Draft, Pending Review, and Private. However, there is no native option for archiving products that are no longer active but still need to be kept in the database (for future use, records, or potential reactivation).

The use case: Sometimes, we have products that are discontinued, out of stock for a long time, or simply not needed at the moment. We don’t want to delete them, and they are not really drafts or pending items either. Having a dedicated “Archived” status would help us keep the product list more organized without losing important data.

Is this something you have considered, or is there a recommended way to implement such a system?
