Hello, when you use this plugin with the classic woocommerce checkout it works as it should. However, it does not work the same way with the new WooCommerce checkout block. Let me explain better, when you fill out the field simply because the client is a company, it always forces you to fill in the field with the country code in front of the CIF, DNI and this does not make sense when this company is from your own country because it will never be exempt from VAT. That is to say, it is one thing to force you to enter the country code outside your country and quite another to do so within your country. I think to summarize my request, that the plugin would have to have an option to not validate the VAT number if it is in the same country as the store base. This is very important, it improves the user experience for customers from your same country. I would be willing to buy this plugin if this option were available, that is, the plugin behaves the same in both classic and block checkout. I repeat, I have carried out tests and when you work with the block checkout it forces you to always enter the country code even if the client is from the same country. Imagine, for example, that the client is self-employed and fills out the field because he needs it to be reflected on the invoice, with his DNI. What sense does it make to force him to add the country code of the same country?
I am from Spain and as an example, a customer from Spain buys in my store. You prefer to fill in the VAT field because you want it that way on your invoice, you don’t put the country code (ES) and it comes up with an error, seriously? Within the same country you don’t have to force the customer to put in the code, since You will always, always pay with VAT, you do not need to validate.
I think this is very, very important.
Thank you.
