WooCommerce Points and Rewards

A client now can place 20 orders in 10 minutes, all with the status “Processing”, get the points and place the 21st order using the points from first 20 orders (discount) to get the product for FREE.

All in 10 minutes, with all 21 orders still with the status “Processing”.
Now the points are allocated for the status “Processing”, not for the status “Finalized”.

Clients with accounts can even change the name and address for the 21 orders so that we do not notice.

Then client can ask to cancel/refund the first 20 orders and keep the FREE product from the 21st order.

The best way to prevent it is to have a notification when we cancel:
“Attention, the points from this order you are about to cancel, were used as discount for order…..”

A second, additional way, is to implement the option to select in “plugin settings” for which order status the points can be redeemed: for “Processing” or for “Finalized”.
