Woocommerce subscriptions – subscriber can choose start date
Great plugin – one thought that I would like to add one day (but not mission critical) is to allow the subscriber to choose when their subscription starts. So payment is still processed today but the subscription start date is say two weeks from today.

Update email to an existing Subscription (Improvement)
Currently, a customer can update their email via the Account Details page in the billing section but it will not update their email associated with their subscription. This causes issues with payment retry notifications and can cause a customer service issue with frustrated customers. I would link everything together or allow the customer to be […]

Lifetime Subscription Option
We need to be able to offer a lifetime subscription option and one time products won’t work. We offer a lifetime subscription and we can’t use one time products for it. We need something that will keep an “active” subscription so that Automatewoo and other addons that work based off Woocommerce Subscription “active” status can […]

Put a subscription on pause
Every subscription plan should have a “pause” mode. It’s a basic feature which is currently proposed by each of our competitors (for ex those using shopify). Not being able to switch easily a subscription on pause is not at all convenient for clients (for example when they go on holiday or whatsoever). It has to […]

Radio buttons instead of Checkboxes for Grouped Product when Multiple Subscriptions are Disabled
When “Allow multiple subscriptions .. to be purchased at the same time” is disabled in the WooCommerce Subscriptions settings, a customer is only able to add one subscription the cart at a time. But, if subscriptions are part of a Grouped Product, the subscriptions are listed with checkboxes next to them for selection. This is […]

Add option to charge the full amount when switching/upgrading
WooCommerce Subscriptions can be a little tricky when selling a yearly subscription with synchronized renewals. The default setting is to only charge the user on the renewal date so unless the user signs up right before the yearly renewal date, they will get a free membership for anywhere from a few months to an entire […]

A Stand alone free trial
In a variable subscription offer a free trial only (not on a payment schedule just a set amount of time) that can be used to restrict content, then at the end of the trial period offer to upgrade to the other variables. The free trial variable can not be renewed only upgraded. This would allow […]

Make subscriptions fully compatible with SEPA
Although your Stripe extension allows for SEPA to be offered, the subscription extension itself is not fully compatible with such payments, or any payments that take multiple days to process/be confirmed. On purchase the subscription goes into pending until the payment is confirmed, which is of course frustrating if a user is expecting access to […]

Let customers choose automatic or manual subscription renewal at checkout
Serving an older client base means reducing as many steps as possible for things like subscriptions. I’d really like a feature for customers to have a checkbox/toggle at checkout to “Automatically renew subscription”. Leaving it unchecked opts them into a manual renewal, where checking it opts them into an automatic renewal. Right now you can […]

Digital Subscriptions – Restrict Newer Subscribers from Viewing Older Content
Our Digital Subscribers receive a new downloadable PDF file each quarter. So each quarter, we upload the new PDF file to the digital subscription product, however newer subscribers are able to view the older digital downloads. As a workaround, we are creating separate subscriptions for each quarter (i.e. Fall 2014, Winter 2014, etc) and uploading […]
