    • You’re absolutely right – social media, like anything, is constantly changing.
      You should test to see what works for your brand and always be willing to change over time. What used to work best five years ago may be useless today.

      For some companies, social media (other than Pinterest) is best used for remarketing activities, like reinforcing brand awareness and showing “social proof”, while Google Ads and Pinterest are best for the initial discovery of new customers. I would use a mix of media to find customers and persuade them to purchase. Don’t rely on a single social media channel as your only channel for marketing.

  2. Great read. The number of Pinterest users have actually grown double the sized mention on this post. There are now 300 million Pinners who use Pinterest. What businesses need to understand is that this audience has a buying mindset. That is how they are different from other social networks. That is their natural behavior. You don’t have to force them to shop on Pinterest. That’s what they love to do. So if you’re a business doesn’t it make sense to connect with people who is looking for your products and services?
