To whet your appetite for what promises to be a feast of Sensei goodness, we’re delighted to bring you an appetizer of three small, yet satisfying, Sensei extensions, which will enhance the learning experience for your students. Did we mention they’re FREE?
Sensei Course Progress
↑ Back to topIf you have a course with a lot of lessons, it can be easy for students to lose track of where they are up to, especially if they’re taking the course over a period of several weeks or months.
Sensei Course Progress provides a sidebar widget that displays all the lessons in the current course (or module, if you’re using the Sensei Modules extension), and lets your learners see, at a glance, which ones they have completed and which they have yet to take.

↑ Back to topPeople are more likely to sign up for a course if they can see that it’s already popular, right?
Sensei Course Participants shows your site visitors how many people are currently taking each course.
There’s also an optional widget, which you can add to your sidebar, to display a list of all the learners taking the course. If you have public profiles enabled it will also link to each learner’s profile.
Sensei Share Your Grade
↑ Back to topGet social with Sensei! The Share Your Grade extension allows your learners to share their progress on a selection of social networks after completing a lesson or course.
The share will automatically link back to your course page, meaning more learners for you!

Appreciate all the hard work Dan, I have not been able to really move ahead until the teacher role was implemented. Look forward to using the Vendor Plugin possibly to charge for courses in that way or in a marketplace type way. Look forward to a little more on the frontend also. Really appreciate the updates here and hard work. Hopefully now I can get a little closer on my project with this Teacher role. Thanks
The Teacher role will be included in Sensei 1.6, coming later this week. It won’t integrate with Product Vendors automatically, but we’re planning an extension to take care of that side of things.

Any chances that 1.6 will be SCORM compliant? I know that the usefullness of SCORM is really under fire, but we have a client on the books right now that we are about to build a new LMS for and they are requiring it to be SCORM compliant. We are still in the early stages and have began some integration with SCORM Cloud, but would love to make our life easier and just use Sensei since we are integrating with a WordPress site already.
1.6 doesn’t have SCORM integration, but we are currently planning a TinCan API extension, so you would be able to convert your SCORM data to TinCan and use that.
