The Rockstar Foundation: Giving Back

Written by Mark Forrester on December 9, 2009 News.

rockstarfoundationA few months ago, Adii started talking about a new charitable organization that he wanted to create that would benefit amazingly talented, yet underprivileged young girls (through educational opportunities, love & great support structures) in South Africa. Last week, the dream took another step closer to formalizing when Adii & his team launched The Rockstar Foundation.

In October, we managed to raise more than $5k for breast cancer awareness. But going forward, we’ve decided we’d like to be more involved in helping worthy causes. So we’re teaming up with The Rockstar Foundation, where we will be sponsoring all of their general overheads & day-to-day expenditure on a monthly basis.

How You Can Help

Sponsoring one girl for a year, costs approximately $5000 USD, which is quite a significant cost. Whilst we’re taking care of the general expenses, it’d be great if some of our awesome Woo users, could contribute to the Foundation as well.

If you’d like to contribute to the Foundation, you can visit this page over here. We’re sure that The Rockstar Foundation team would be grateful for contributions of any size! šŸ™‚

Great idea, but is there any reason why it’s just girls and not for the boys? just asking.
