WooCommerce Bookings Availability 1.4.0 delivers a broad accessibility overhaul of the Bookings Calendar and Schedule blocks, plus fixes that make the calendar behave correctly for accommodation bookings and on mobile.
The Calendar and Schedule blocks have been rebuilt to work for every customer. Shoppers who navigate by keyboard can now move through the event calendar without a mouse, and screen readers announce when the calendar is loading, so customers using assistive technology always know what’s happening. Booking buttons, event items, and calendar navigation now carry clear labels that screen readers can read out, focus outlines are visible as customers tab through the calendar, and color contrast has been improved to meet accessibility standards. The calendar is now built on a proper table structure, so its layout reads correctly to assistive tech.
Several behavior fixes ship alongside the accessibility work. Accommodation products priced by the night now display correctly in the Week and Month calendar views — previously nightly availability could show incorrectly against day-based views. On mobile, tapping a different date in the Bookings Calendar block now resets the “Load more” list, so customers see results for the date they picked instead of a carry-over from the last one. And past dates are now disabled in the calendar, so customers can’t try to book a day that’s already gone.
How to get it
Update to WooCommerce Bookings Availability 1.4.0 from your WooCommerce dashboard — Plugins > Installed Plugins, or WooCommerce > Extensions. This release raises the minimum supported WooCommerce version to 10.7, so update WooCommerce first if you’re on an older version. The accessibility work touches the frontend of the Calendar and Schedule blocks — if you or your agency use custom styling or template overrides on those blocks, review them after updating.
