You can now build shipping rate rules based on the total volume of items in the cart, alongside the existing weight- and count-based options. For stores selling furniture, large appliances, or other bulky, packaged goods, dimensional size is often a better proxy for shipping cost than weight alone — this gives you a rule that reflects that.
How to get it
Update to WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping 3.7.0, then set up a volume-based rate rule under WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping.
