More checkout and cart improvements

What’s in this release

Validation errors appear only when helpful: Checkout form fields no longer show validation errors while shoppers are still entering information. Errors appear only after field interaction or form submission attempt.

Better browser autofill for addresses: Checkout form fields now include HTML-standard section-billing and section-shipping tokens so browsers correctly autofill billing and shipping addresses into the right sections.

Smarter mini-cart item count: The mini-cart item count badge updates instantly for most stores and automatically falls back to the server-confirmed count for stores using custom server-side logic.

Configure local pickup in the block editor: Merchants can now select which shipping methods support local pickup collection directly within the checkout block editor.

Incompatible extension warnings on the storefront: Store admins now see a dismissible notice on cart and checkout pages when an incompatible extension is detected.

Product thumbnails in multi-package checkout: When orders split into multiple shipping packages, checkout displays product thumbnails alongside each package’s items.

More reliable cart on cached pages: Stores using page caching no longer encounter “Nonce is invalid” errors. The cart state refreshes on each page load with a new security nonce.

Update WooCommerce to the latest version to get all these cart and checkout improvements.
