Heaton Hops is a tap house and bottle shop in Stockport, UK.
It was voted Best Pub 2015 in the Manchester Evening News CityLife Awards and Best Craft Ale Bar 2016 at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards.
With the tap house closed due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Heaton Hops owners Damian and Charlotte needed to adapt their business to introduce local and nationwide beer deliveries.
The pair turned to Stockport web designer, Paul Jardine, to build them an online store and introduce local and nationwide beer deliveries.

While sticking closely to the default WooCommerce templates for speed and execution, he also designed a custom product listing and product detail template to present key product information – such as ABV, size, and brewery – at a glance.
“The website has been very well received since launch with over 1,300 visits and 12,000 page views in the first week, selling lots of beer in the process!”
The site also uses advanced custom fields, allowing Damian and Charlotte to determine which featured products to display on the home page.
