Ted’s Vintage Art

Ted’s Vintage Art sells vintage maps of the United States from the late 1800s.

A small, family-owned and operated business based in South Dakota, Ted’s Vintage Art combine a tangible passion for history with a love of graphic design to “create something good”.

Many of the prints for sale in their vast catalog of cities, counties, and states are over 300 years old. These high-quality map prints are reproductions of restored original designs. The restoration process removes any tears, stains, or other markings that do not add to the map’s historical significance.

Customers are able to customize their prints in several ways. Printing in black and white or sepia, or zooming in on a specific area of the map is “especially popular with our Land Ownership Map collection”.

Each map is printed on museum-quality, acid free, heavy stock matte paper. Unframed prints are rolled up and wrapped with tissue paper to prevent ink smudging during delivery. Framed prints are carefully shipped in a cardboard box with bubble wrap to prevent damage during shipping.

“The site is deeply integrated with a number of apps, allowing most of the business to run in an automated fashion” says Justin Blase, owner and manager of Blase Media. “WooCommerce is configured to automatically sync with Printful.com for order fulfillment, a Facebook product catalog feed, as well as Google Merchant Center for dynamic product advertising.”

We also have an interesting integration with Cloudinary…for automated creation of multiple product images, as well as the ability to do a “deep zoom” into the details of our prints.
