We’d love it if Woo just added twice-yearly and 4-times yearly (quarterly) and even multi-year (once every 2 years) billing options for subscriptions so we can offer a discount to folks willing to pay in larger chunks.

Would be great if we could set custom renewal dates and number of renewal orders. This would allow shop manager to set the number of payments and when those payment happen depending on their needs.
These period options have always been possible. 🙂
For twice-yearly, set the recurring price to be renew every 6th month, e.g. https://cl.ly/0U0a0Z3m0806
For quarterly/4-times yearly, set the price to be every 3rd month, e.g. https://cl.ly/0R3Q301v280V
To offer the discount for longer billing periods, you can use Variable Subscriptions: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/subscriptions/faq/#section-12
Brent you are correct that they are possible, however the programming team at Prospress didn.t think this all the way through, because the payments aren’t synced on a quarterly schedule following the calendar year. They start renewing the next month, and therefore customer’s payments are not in sync with the quarterly delivery of products.
I believe it is a flaw in the logic of the implementation. More of a bug rather than a feature request and should be fixed ASAP.
