ShipStation for WooCommerce

Ship your WooCommerce orders with confidence, save on top carriers, and automate your processes with ShipStation.

Switch to using the ShipStation API

In the documentation there are two ways to connect to ShipStation: https://www.shipstation.com/developer-api/

We currently use the Custom Store Integration which limits the amount of information we can send to ShipStation. There is also another option to use the ShipStation API, which offers a lot more field / features. Should we be switching to the API to allow better communication between the two?

A concrete example is sending over line item dimensions or possibly the dimensions of the package for the shipping rate. This is not possible with the Custom Store Integration, but is supported in the API.

I too would like to see a more robust integration between ShipStation and WooCommerce.

Another example use-case where using the ShipStation API could allow for more robust communication between the two platforms would be that when an order is Cancelled in ShipStation, that order status is sent back to WooCommerce to update the order’s status in WooCommerce to Cancelled.
