set commission by category / tag
I would like to be able to set the payable commission by product / product category / or a specific tag. I would also like to be able to exclude products based on category or tag.

To exclude products from any commission, you can follow either:
* exclude products: use the “Excluded products” setting. Learn more: https://woocommerce.com/document/affiliate-for-woocommerce/settings/#section-3
* exclude products by product category: Create a new commission plan. Add a rule for Product category > none of > (name of the category). Similarly, you can create a rule for products as well. Learn more: https://woocommerce.com/document/affiliate-for-woocommerce/how-to-set-different-affiliate-commission-rates-for-product-or-product-category/
Gillian: need to exclude some categories myself; ability to set it to 0% commission would be nice
Follow these steps:
1. Create a new commission plan.
2. Add a rule for Product category > none of > (Product category name).
3. Set the commission amount as 0 in this plan.
Sylvie: I would also like commission to be set by product because % varies depending on the product

3. Set the commission amount depending on % you want to give commission.
As of now, we do not have commission plans for product tags or product attributes. However, we can consider adding them. Please submit a new feature request for this.

Just checking in with everyone about the benefit to set up commission rates based on product attribute for variable products due to the different manufacturing costs of some attributes, eg Print vs Framed Prints etc.
