These three releases change what your store shares with Pinterest and what the plugin writes to its logs. They also fix a connection error that could time out wp-admin, plus several issues with tracking and Pins.
Private products and customer data stay private. Password-protected products and their variations are no longer included in your Pinterest catalog feed, and their Rich Pins no longer show product details to people without the password. The plugin regenerates your feed once after the update so these products drop out of your catalog. Diagnostics and debug logs no longer record customer and order details, account credentials, or raw responses from Pinterest.
No more wp-admin timeouts from a rejected connection. If Pinterest rejected your store’s saved connection token, the plugin could keep trying to disconnect until wp-admin timed out. Now it clears the connection on your store without further calls to Pinterest, so you can reconnect. The settings screen also keeps your saved settings while it loads and lets you retry if the first load fails, and the setup wizard header displays correctly on WooCommerce 11.2.
Tracking and Pin fixes. The Pinterest Tag script now loads only when you have an active Tag. Stores upgrading from a version older than 1.4.0 now complete the automatic connection upgrade correctly. The order received page no longer shows an error when a product in the order has since been deleted. And the Save to Pinterest button keeps the full product name, link, and image when the name contains “&” or your store uses plain permalinks.
How to get it
Update to Pinterest for WooCommerce 1.5.4 in your WooCommerce dashboard. Version 1.5.4 requires WordPress 7.0 and WooCommerce 11.1 or later, so update those first if needed. Everything else applies automatically, including the one-time feed refresh. If the plugin shows your Pinterest account as disconnected after updating, reconnect from the plugin’s settings.
