Would be nice to have the ability to do split transactions where some people want to spend a VISA Gift Card balance then do the rest in cash, or another card.
Our current work around is selling them a gift certificate and then applying that gift certificate to the balance of their transaction.

For anyone who needs this today: I build MultiPOS, another WooCommerce POS, so I’m biased.
MultiPOS Pro splits one order across several payment methods, for example a gift card balance first and the rest in cash or card. Each sale is saved as a normal WooCommerce order.
We use a gift program through our Credit Card provider. Other than cash the POS system just needs to subtract and track the other parts of the payments have been taken and accounted for on the receipt and order
