Please consider adding the WooCommerce internal transaction ID to the payment file, or the sequentially generated order number. Our shop pushes the online transactions to Xero via the WooCommerce Xero broker, and trying to reconcile transactions based on the current payment file is a nightmare as there is no correlation (reference) between the payment file and the orders we are trying to reconcile.

Hi there,
Most payment gateways add an order note that contains the transaction ID for the payment.
You may wish to use the new Order note created trigger rule for this purpose, you could then extract the transaction ID from the order note text and store it in your desired system using Zapier.
When customer pays for a product a transaction ID is generated by payment gateway. This is a confirmation that payment has been done. and can be cross verified. I suggest including Transaction ID with Order placed in the downloadable report.
Suppose, if there is any hacking/malfunction etc, then we can cross check. We can find which customer has actually paid *** amount & whether the transaction was completed or not. This will boost morals of those businesses who don’t trust WooCommerce bcz of WordPress Vulnerabilities.
