The ‘Enable payments via saved cards’ option should, in my opinion, be able to be set per payment method.
We sell parts for cars, so no subscriptions or recurring payments.
Saving Credit Card information does make sense in itself, so one does not have to fill in all the info every time.
Storing data with iDeal or Bancontact is strange and not desirable in this case. At checkout, one can choose to save the payment information so that a SEPA payment can be made the next time an order is placed.
Now comes the problem, iDeal is paid immediately and the order enters ‘processing’. Some customers now choose SEPA (after saving the payment information), the order then comes ‘On hold’ and the debit only happens a few days/weeks later. This option is very useless and confuses customers. In addition, some make a double payment via an additional IBAN transfer (wire transfer), this because nothing has been debited yet.
So please make an extra option to allow payment via saved cards per method. And this settings will be used when “Enable payments via saved cards” is enabled.
