I just recently discovered the POS function in the mobile app. We use the mobile app at pop up markets and it’s saved us a lot of time. However, with our handmade products we have created only SKUs for the products/variations. I was disappointed to learn after purchasing a barcode scanner to speed up our checkout even more by using the POS function that the POS doesn’t have ability to scan SKUs. This is very odd as most POS apps have this ability. The Orders and Products functions of the mobile app allow us to scan SKUs, but we have to use the camera on our ipad. So I am requesting that you either provide the ability to scan SKUs in the POS function OR give us the ability to use our barcode scanner in the Orders function (instead of the camera)

Adding my few cents here. Many smaller craft businesses that make what they sell don’t pay for GS1 membership. For me that would a few thousand dollars per year to have enough UPC numbers and room to grow. I suggest either allow alphanumeric “codes” in the UPC/EAN space, or integrate SKU as an additional method to look up and add to cart.
