I would like to set up a discount that applies to the total quantity of products in the cart that belong to a specific category.
Currently, discount rules apply to the quantity of individual products, while discount tiers apply to the total number of all products in the cart.
What I need is something in between. For example, apply a discount for a certan number of products in category A, and then another discount for a certain number of products in category B.

Hi Matteoman,
Thank you for the detailed suggestion and for explaining the use case so clearly.
You’re right — right now discount rules work at the individual product level, and discount tiers work at the total cart level, but there isn’t a way to apply a discount based on the quantity of products within a specific category. That’s a great idea and a genuinely useful middle ground.
Good news: we’re planning to add this feature in our upcoming version 2.0 release, expected next week on August 5, 2026. Once released, you’ll be able to set quantity-based discounts scoped to individual categories (e.g., a discount for a certain quantity from Category A, and a separate one for Category B).
Thanks again for taking the time to share this — feedback like yours directly shapes what we prioritize.
Best regards,
