Currently if you don’t enable the option for “confirm bookings”, new Bookings will automatically go to “paid” status.
This skips the bookings confirmed email.
The only email the customer then receive is the generic order confirmation email. This does have the booking details, but the language is not ideal.
It says “order complete” when something like “Booking Scheduled” would be more appropriate.
I can see how this would cause redundant emails, since order processing and booking paid would be the same trigger.
perhaps a solution would be to make it easier to customize the “order processing” email when the products are booking’s products.
I believe that bookings products can’t be included with normal products during checkout… the order processing email wouldn’t have to worry about mixed product types.
My Ideal email would be something like:
Your booking is scheduled with %store name%
Booking Details:
Booking Status:
Add To Calendar:
Order Notes:
Open
