Hello,

I’m a WooCommerce store owner based in France, and I wanted to flag an upcoming regulatory change that will affect every business using WooCommerce for invoicing here.

France’s e-invoicing reform is being phased in starting September 1, 2026: from that date, all French businesses (regardless of size) must be able to receive invoices electronically in structured format, and larger companies must also issue them this way through a certified platform — either the public portal (PPF) or an accredited “Plateforme de Dématérialisation Partenaire” (PDP). Smaller businesses have until September 1, 2027 to comply on the issuing side. Only platforms officially registered with the French tax authority (DGFiP) and listed in the national directory of accredited platforms can legally handle this exchange.

This means that WooCommerce merchants in France will soon need their invoicing workflow to connect to a PDP, or WooCommerce itself would need to pursue PDP accreditation (or a formal partnership with an already-accredited PDP), in order to keep working as a compliant invoicing tool for the French market.

I’d like to ask that WooCommerce’s product team look into this and consider either becoming an accredited PDP or building a native integration with one of the existing accredited platforms. Without this, merchants like me will have to bolt on a separate third-party solution just to stay compliant, which undermines the “all-in-one” appeal of WooCommerce for the French market.
