The TikTok for WooCommerce plugin is an invaluable tool for connecting our stores to TikTok. While the plugin currently supports TikTok Marketing features (like Pixel and Ads) effectively, the TikTok Shop functionality, especially catalog synchronization, appears to be limited to a few specific countries (e.g., US, UK, SE Asia) in the current plugin version (1.3.1).
The Problem:
TikTok Shop has recently expanded its availability and is now officially operational in several key EU markets, including France (FR), Spain (ES), Italy (IT), Ireland (IE), and Germany (DE). However, the current plugin does not seem to fully recognize these countries as eligible for TikTok Shop catalog synchronization.
This leads to the following issues for merchants in these regions:
1. When a WooCommerce store’s base country is set to an EU country like France, the “TikTok Shop” tab within the plugin’s interface does not appear, or the setup flow prevents connecting to TikTok Shop.
2. As a workaround, forcing the plugin to send GB (United Kingdom) as the country allows the “TikTok Shop” tab to appear. However, this creates an inconsistency with the merchant’s actual business location (e.g., France) and can lead to issues with catalog synchronization, as TikTok’s backend may reject syncs or display “0 products available” due to geographical mismatch or unfulfilled regional compliance requirements for the ‘GB’ shop that is not genuinely based there.
Requested Feature:
We kindly request an urgent update to the TikTok for WooCommerce plugin to officially support TikTok Shop catalog synchronization and full functionality for the newly enabled EU markets, including but not limited to France (FR), Spain (ES), Italy (IT), Ireland (IE), and Germany (DE).
