External/Affiliate product Types to allow variations
External/Affiliate product types need to allow variations.
When using Woocomerce Amazon import plugin for external/affiliate sales, the import process I Chrome uses a configured Amazon affiliate id as part of setting up the product in Woocommerce (which then in turns sets the product type to be external/affiliate).
When selecting Amazon products to import that have variations, these variations can not be set because the definition of an External/Affiliate product type doesn’t cater for variations. The result is a product in Woocommerce which is not representative of the equivalent Amazon product.
