That would be nice to have an option to automatically enable pre-order for all products when the stock hits zero instead of having to manually check the option.

That would save a lot of manual checking — automatically switching a product to pre-order as soon as it hits zero stock means you don’t have to catch every out-of-stock moment yourself.
Smart Pre-Order Manager for WooCommerce supports automatically enabling pre-order status when a product’s stock reaches zero, so you’re not manually flipping the setting on every time something sells out.
