WooCommerce Blocks offers a range of Gutenberg blocks you can use to build and customise your site.

Klaviyo & Mailchimp Abandoned Cart Support

Integrate with Klaviyo & Mailchimp woocommerce plugins. At present these plugins cannot be used with WooCommerce Blocks.

The main priority for us is to provide the hooks or other to start a cart abandonment flow….

Klaviyo & Mailchimp logic looks to see if there’s a logged in user, and if not captures Name & Email Address entered on checkout to sync with their database, and if the order is not completed, Klaviyo or Mailchimp start an automation email flow. Furthermore Klaviyo’s plugin depends on ‘woocommerce_after_checkout_form’ for localising the checkout data for the Started Checkout event, is apparently not included in this new approach.

The second priority for us is the ability for these plugins to add a newsletter sign-up option on checkout. Simply taking the entered email address and passing this to Klaviyo and Mailchimp.

I have multiple clients very keen to come over to the new and improved look for the cart and checkout. But their abandoned cart automation flows are very important to them, so we cannot proceed. Even a clear roadmap, as to where you’re going with Blocks would help. It’s hard to tell if you’re ever going to address these things from our research. Time is money for these stores.

Thank you for reaching out, this is important feedback for us.

Currently it’s up to extension developers to add support for the new checkout flow offered via the Cart and Checkout Blocks.

The best course of action right now if you are using a plugin that isn’t working with the Cart and Checkout Blocks is to notify the developer of the extension and ask if they can add support. We have some documentation for Third-party developers and some Developer Resources available to help with their integration efforts. (see https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-blocks/tree/trunk/docs#third-party-developers).

I also recommend submitting a feature request for the extensions that you are mentioning:
    – Klaviyo : https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/klaviyo-ecommerce-marketing-platform/
    – Mailchimg: https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/

We keep an up to date list of compatible extensions in this documentation. https://woocommerce.com/document/cart-checkout-blocks-support-status/#section-5
