Min/Max Quantities

Minimum and maximum quantity rules for products, orders and categories.

Min/Max Quantities per Category

We have a category that has many products with identical maximum quantities set up per product. Whenever there is a max quantity change that affects all of the products in this category, we have to edit each product individually to update the quantities. It would be much faster and smarter to be able to set up min/max limits per category. We bought this plugin and are surprised that this feature is not built in. Please add this as soon as possible. Thank you!

I need this like yesterday :/

Yeah! Much needed to set min. amount for a specific category, so that there have to be a minimum of 3 products of choice in a specific category before order can be placed.

I want to be able to set a minimum purchase from a category. For example in category O there is a minimum order of 3 products from the category. The user could, for example, add 2 products from product X and 1 from product Y from the same category O. I have a wholesale website and this is an extremely important rule since there is a minimum order for individual products and product categories. There are categories that we allow to mix the products within the defined minimum

I also vote for this feature to be added! In particular, I’m looking to limit quantities per product to prevent shipping cost issues. My specific problem would also be solved be being able to put limits on the shipping class, but the category limits would work more universally for folks.

I want to limit the number of items so customers can add only 1 item to the cart from categories A,B,C
and unlimited items from category X.

I am selling hatching eggs that I want customers to buy a minimum of 6 but they can be from any breed (product) from within the category (hatching eggs). I do not want a minimum per product (breed). For now, I set the category to be sold in groups of 6 so that is the de facto minimum, but it means customers buy 6 or 12 but can’t buy 7, 8, 9 etc.

Hi there, I went through the exact process as Jeff. Bought the plugin, got it installed and was surprised that I couldn’t place limits based on categories. We give away promotional products for free and only want customers to be able to add 1 item to their cart at a time. The easiest way to do this would be to put the promotional products in the same category and have limits for the category. I’d love it if you could add this feature! Cheers & thanks!

Totally agree, I also suggest min/max cost per category, not only quantity.
