Our client runs hundreds of courses, across more than 20 locations. I’ve had to set up the same course for every venue. They only have one available start date per month for each course and location. It would be great to have the option to display a drop down list of available dates, rather than a very empty calendar.

So many customer assume booking is not available they have not try next next month, if direct datepicker show november month then it is easy for customer. http://www.paintersoffrederick.com
Being able to just show the date in a drop down would be a bit improvement.

I wish bookings was easier to modify. Of all the woocommerce plugins, this must be the worst – and the one where it’s most needed. http://www.atticinsulationsilverspring.com/
This is fantastic!

Well, this is a nice idea. https://amicosecurity.com/amiguard-5000-series/
It will always be easier for the drop-down instead of picking the date. Thank you for improving it. https://www.ohiosignaturepainting.com
Great setup. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to improving usability.

we run courses on every third tuesday of the month. i want to update the dates in the date picker drop down list on our website. As its not picking up this years dates.
Thanks
Sir, Would this be better for a customer to choose the starting date / end date ?
Yes! This should be a built-in available feature!
I really need this too! My client has a mix of bookable products. Some are numerous through a each day of the month, others are only a few per year. A calendar really makes no sense for the latter.
They have requested a drop-down solution so I got as far as using this:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-bookings-dropdown/
This works perfectly for the products that can only be booked by date but is no good when you add timeslots.
‘+1 Having the choice of Drop-Down datepickers (including the option to enter dates manually) should be available out of the box.
I’ve done a user friendly dropdown date option for Woo bookings, you can download it free here,

When available datepicker show only bookable date month? In our site booking is available only in November and December, so many customer assume booking is not available they have not try next next month, if direct datepicker show november month then it is easy for customer Or starting from nearest booking date month. Anyone have to know how to do? Thanks

I have done this in my plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-bookings-dropdown/
We also need fixed duration dates, for example a tour that starts on a specific date for x number of days – so the user simply needs to select the start date to see how many spaces are available (or perhaps there is no actual date selection even needed as it simply starts on a given date for za fixed number of days.
Isn’t this the same as http://ideas.woothemes.com/forums/133476-woocommerce/suggestions/6102934-woocommerce-bookings-available-date-drop-down-in

Dropdown will be a great idea, our web site has sometimes 2 or 3 months in row without scheduled training… it is not nice to see the whole calendar empty. Or another solution will be if the calendar is display on the closest date available!!
Depends on the context. In my case (tour company) having the customer view the available dates on a calendar form helps them visualize their week and get organized. Having said that I do use a plugin with google calendar that shows upcoming tours as a list but only on the sidebar
