In the admin the product merchandising grid used CSS floats for layout. Sometimes this can cause gaps in the grid where items are slightly shorter/longer and don’t wrap down correct onto the start of a new line. Consider using CSS flex/grid for layout for a more robust approach to styling the grid layout.
