The official PayPal Enterprise Payments extension for WooCommerce. Accept credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, ACH Direct Debit, BNPL, local payment methods, and more — with Fastlane accelerated checkout built in.

Feature Requests

  • Pay with Venmo

Implement a ‘Pay with Venmo’ or ‘link your venmo account’ to pay for a product at checkout. Users should be allowed to simply link their account and pay a business and cut out the transaction fee. Create and open source P2P payment gateway – charge stores/sites to offer the payment processing on a subscription basis. […]

  • Compatibility with Composite Products (and other custom product types)

Custom product types are useful and common, and quick pay buttons on the product page drive sales. The developers of Composite Products say plugins like theirs may be able to hide quick pay buttons added by PayPal Powered by Braintree, but that the Braintree plugin doesn’t otherwise allow them to pass the calculated Composite Product […]

  • ACH Direct Debit Support

Braintree offers support for automatic ACH Direct Debit payments, but currently implemention is entirely up to the end user. It would be nice if there was an option in this plugin for the feature. https://developer.paypal.com/braintree/docs/guides/ach/overview

  • Braintree Gateway Plugin Improvement – 3D Secure for American Express

I suggest to add 3D Secure for American Express cards (Safe Key).

  • Paypal Braintree

We need to be able to see the Fraud status in woocommerce so that we know if an order is till under review or what is going on with it. We have to go to Braintree account to see the true status beyond the “Notes” in the woocommerce orders.

  • Braintree Gateway Plugin Improvement

I came across an issue whilst developing a new site for a client. We have a customised checkout template and it involves moving the payment methods container to another place on the page (outside of the #order_review container. The result of this is that it caused a generic payment gateway error to be generated (even […]

  • Fraud prevention against thousands of posts to /?wc-ajax=checkout

As documented in https://wordpress.org/support/topic/thousands-of-posts-to-wc-ajaxcheckout-2/#post-16705941 and https://wordpress.org/support/topic/thousands-of-post-requests-to-wc-ajaxcheckout/page/2/ and in https://wordpress.org/support/topic/thousands-of-posts-to-wc-ajaxcheckout/ There is no prevention against credit card scammers testing tens of thousands of credit cards against Braintree using this plugin. As a result of this I am seeing ~10k requests per day against a single checkout trying multiple cards. The result is tens of thousands of […]

  • Control what payment options PayPal can insert at checkout.

Currently, PayPal inserts different payment options depending on the customers’ location among other things. Implement an option to be able to control which payment methods can be shown, or to completely turn off this feature and only have PayPal and credit card options at checkout.

  • Allow capture all transactions in Braintree Vault

Setting to allow all transactions to go to Braintree Vault and not only Pre-Order purchases or recurring Subscription charges.

  • Send fee amounts back to WooCommerce

The Stripe plugin sends the processing fees back to WooCommerce to show in the order details. It would be great if the PayPal plugin could do this too.
