MailPoet 5.34.0 cuts manual steps out of managing subscribers, building forms, and running automations, and picks up your theme’s colors automatically in the form editor.
Add a manage-subscription form with a block — no shortcode. You can now drop a Manage Subscription block onto any page from the editor and it renders the manage-subscription form directly, without a shortcode or special URL parameters. It’s a simpler way to give subscribers a place to update their own preferences.
See and set a subscriber’s timezone. Each subscriber’s record now shows their timezone, and you can view or update it while editing them — useful for getting send timing right for the people on your list.
Add a Close button to pop-ups and slide-ins. A new Close button block lets you add a dismiss button to pop-up, slide-in, and fixed-bar forms from inside the form editor. Any custom link carrying the mailpoet_form_close CSS class will close the form too, so you can wire the dismiss action into your own design.
Fire automations on bulk list and tag changes. Automations can now trigger when subscribers are bulk-added or moved between lists, or when tags are added or removed in bulk. Large list-management operations no longer skip your automation rules, so a bulk change kicks off the follow-ups you set up.
Forms that match your theme. The form editor now picks up your active theme’s color palette by default, so new forms look like the rest of your site without manual styling.
This release also fixes three issues: homepage, store, and account links in editor emails no longer turn into dead tracked links; CSV imports again auto-map first- and last-name column headers that use underscores, hyphens, dots, or common abbreviations; and a fatal error some sites hit when custom fields loaded before a database migration finished during a plugin update is resolved.
How to get it
Update to MailPoet 5.34.0 from your WooCommerce dashboard — Plugins > Installed Plugins, or WooCommerce > Extensions. The new blocks appear in the page and form editors, and the automation triggers show up when you build or edit an automation.
