WooCommerce Bookings 3.8.0 adds a reschedule flow to the booking details screen, so you can move a customer to a new slot without creating a new order or re-entering the price. It also lets you customize the “Requires confirmation” payment option and fixes several calendar display issues.
When a customer needs to change their appointment, you can now reschedule it right from the booking details page in your admin. The calendar there is availability-aware and preselects their current slot, so you can see what’s open and move them in a few clicks. The original price carries over — no new order, no manual price adjustment — and the updated appointment re-syncs to Google Calendar automatically. Before, moving a booking usually meant canceling and rebooking, which risked charging a different price and left your calendar out of sync.
You can also edit the title and description of the “Requires confirmation” payment option from its settings. If you take bookings that need manual approval before payment, you can now word that step in your own terms so customers know what to expect at checkout.
This release also clears up several calendar and display issues. Hourly bookings that end exactly at midnight no longer block the following day, and the admin calendar’s Day view no longer shows a midnight-ending booking as an all-day block on the next day. The date picker’s navigation arrows stay visible on narrower screens, a JavaScript error that appeared when several bookable products shared a page is fixed, and the add-to-cart button now matches your block theme’s button styling on the product page.
How to get it
Update to WooCommerce Bookings 3.8.0 from your WooCommerce dashboard — Plugins > Installed Plugins, or WooCommerce > Extensions. The reschedule flow and fixes apply automatically once you’re updated; you’ll find the editable “Requires confirmation” wording in that payment method’s settings. Note that this release now requires WordPress 6.8 or higher and WooCommerce 10.6 or higher — update those first if you’re on older versions.
