What’s in this release
Version 5.3.0 of Square for WooCommerce adds support for Square Discount Codes. Once enabled, discount codes created in Square are redeemable in the WooCommerce checkout, with no manual sync required.
When a customer enters a Square discount code at checkout, the code is validated and applied in real time. The redemption then syncs back to your Square Dashboard automatically, keeping your promotions consistent across in-person and online sales, managed from one place.
This release supports fixed amounts and percentage discounts. The integration can be turned on or off under WooCommerce > Settings > Square.
Also in this release: a fix for gift card partial-total verification (which could cause errors when a gift card covered part of an order), and improved data access restrictions on the payment method page.
