Know when your Google connection breaks with Google for WooCommerce 3.9.3

Google for WooCommerce 3.9.3 changes what happens when the connection between your store and Google stops working. Instead of continuing to send requests that Google rejects, syncing pauses and you get a notice telling you to reconnect.

Before this release, a rejected authentication token was handled one product at a time. A sync run would work through your entire catalog, fail on every product for the same reason, and leave you with a pile of errors that didn't say what was actually wrong. Google for WooCommerce 3.9.0: Croatia support, multilingual markets, and marketing notifications

If you sell in more than one language, this release is the one to update for. Markets, currencies, and shipping feeds now work across your store's languages, so a multi-lingual store sends Google the right product data for each locale instead of forcing everything through a single one.

Croatia joins the list of countries supported by Google Merchant Center, so stores based there — or selling there — can now list products and run campaigns. This release also adds marketing notifications, which surface recommendations and account alerts where you already manage your campaigns, rather than leaving you to check Google's interface separately.

Google for WooCommerce 3.8.0: Adblocker-proof ad image previews and brand controls on more campaign types

Two changes in this release affect how you build campaigns from your WooCommerce dashboard.

Ad image previews now load in the campaign builder, even when you have an adblocker turned on. Before, an adblocker could stop the auto-generated preview images from loading, so you'd build a campaign without a visual check of how the ad would look. Now the preview shows every time, so you can confirm the creative before you publish.
