Enable Refunds to Account Funds for Orders Linked to a User Account

Enable refunds to account funds for any order associated with a user account, regardless of how the order was placed. This applies whether the order was made while logged in, placed without an account, created by a team member in the backend, or if the customer created an account after the order.

This feature would be especially useful during product exchanges, streamlining the process and making refunds more efficient.”

    Hey there, thanks for this update. this is exactly what we are looking for. We will purchase the plugin again here and give it another try. Last time we tried it it did not provide us with the capabilities we needed but are open to try again. Can we send you screenshots of what we are seeing if it is not showing what we are expecting?

    Hello again Landon,

    Technically the plugin can refund to the customer account funds (store credit) for any order. However, they need to have an account (registered customer) for that to work. If they sign up for an account, the old orders made by a guest customer with the same email could be updated to the new customer that signed up, and then refund the order to their account as store credit. We plan to add support for store credit to guest users where maybe this step won’t be necessary. Note that if you want to try the plugin you could reach out to us or purchase and try it, we have a time limited no question asked refund policy to help you decide.

    Hey there, Thank you for reaching out, my team and i were literally just talking about this the other day as this is something we are really needing more then ever now.

    So i guess to detail a little more for you. When we had this plugin installed it was very hit and miss when it would show the option to be able to refund to account credits. It didn’t matter even if we had an account assigned to a order it would just not be there. I get it not being there for orders without an account tied to the order.

    What we are looking for is;
    1. If a order is created and the customer checks out as a guest (no account) and we create an account for the user manually and connect it to the order, that we can then refund to that account
    2. If a customer creates an order and creates an account during checkout that then we can refund to there account.
    3. if a customer logs into there existing account and creates an order then we can refund to that account.

    i would have to buy the plugin again (which we can do) as we haven’t used it in a long while now as it wasnt performing as we needed it to but when we did have it it seemed un-reliable of when the option would show up to refund to customer.

    If you feel we are at a stage where this might be more reliable or a available feature in the near near future we are open to re purchasing the plugin for a year or 2 to see how it works as this is a very important feature to us.

    Let me know if there is any more info that could be helpful for you.

    Hey Landon! We’re currently working on a version of this functionality and would love to hear more on how you would hope for it to work. Specifically, the account matching required to tie an order to a user upon registration is not something that we currently see as within the scope of this plugin. How are you handling that link?
