2 Hounds Design make stylish and comfy designer collars, harnesses, and leashes for dogs.
Founder, Alisha Navarro, has a background in theoretical and applied physics and never planned on starting a collar company as an outlet for her creative energy.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts to find a special martingale collar for her two retired racing Greyhounds, she invested $500 in raw materials and decided to make her own.
What started out in 2003 as a one-woman show making collars in Alisha’s spare bedroom has now grown into a team of over 50 talented professionals, all working together in a 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Indian Trail, NC.
2 Hounds Design practices lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and ensure that they are always proud to put their name on every collar, leash, and harness shipped.
A great deal of time has been spent researching and establishing relationships with suppliers, with a strong emphasis on materials sourced from the United States.
You’ll find no mass-produced, generic collars here – only custom-made, cool, and creative dog collars for medium, large, and extra-large breeds. Careful attention has been paid to the safety, functionality, and comfort for your hound.
2 Hounds Design also works closely with adoption and rescue groups worldwide. They have raised more than $500,000 in their first 10 years alone through fundraising, donations, and auctions.
The Freedom No-Pull Harness is used by many shelters, SPCA organizations, humane societies, and private rescues.
